The setting for this house is a sound front lot in a neo-traditional planned community on Emerald Isle. A two-story porch protects the building from the harsh afternoon sun while creating a passageway from the street to the front door and beyond to the sound. Native yellow pine is used extensively for structural framing and interior finish.
